Returns Policy

Always save your RECEIPT!

Textbook Return Policy:

  1. The complete, original cash register receipt is needed for any type of return or exchange.
  2. New books should not be soiled, written in, or marked in anyway and should be in new, clean condition.
  3. Used books must be in resalable condition.  Condition of the book to be determined by the University Store.
  4. Wrapped or boxed merchandise or book packages must still be in original packing, not unwrapped or open.
  5. Software and text packages must be in original package with seal unbroken.  An exchange will be made for any defective software.  Any other problems must be addressed with the publisher directly.
  6. Store management reserves the right to make the decision on the condition or salability of the merchandise.
  7. Defective books can be exchanged or replaced for the same title at the discretion of the University Store.
  8. The University Store cannot be held responsible for canceled classes or professor changes.
  9. All returns are to be made at customer service with in the designated time period.

Return Time Periods:

  • Fall Semester 2010 -
  • Spring Semester 2011 - 
  • Summer Term 3 - The first three days from the start of class
  • Extended Studies, Winter Online, Distance Education, Summer Term 4 & 5 - The first five days from the start of class.

Withdrawal Policy: Books must meet the above refund policy, and student must provide proof of withdrawal from the class.  Books must be exchanged or returned to the store within three weeks of the start of classes.

Credit Card Purchases: Refund will be credited to the card you used to purchase your books.  Customer must present credit card at the time of return.

Cash or Check Purchases: Refund will be given in cash.

Buyback Price: Given if book is written in or not in new condition, only during buyback hours.

Merchandise Return Policy:

  1. Merchandise must be in the same condition as purchased with the price attached.
  2. The cash register receipt must accompany the return. If the item was a gift or purchased by a friend and the receipt is not available, an exchange can be made. Money is never given without a receipt.
  3. Carded or prepackaged items removed from its original container cannot be returned.
  4. If the customer has the original cash register receipt, an exchange can be made on merchandise for a different size, color, style, etc.
  5. Sale merchandise is non refundable. It can only be exchanged for a different size of the same style.
  6. A cash refund will be issued only for cash and check returns if accompanied with a receipt. Credit will be issued for credit card and account returns.
  7. Defective merchandise can always be returned with a sales receipt.
  8. If your purchase was made with a Credit Card, you must have your card to make an exchange or refund.
